We signed with Christian Adoption Consultants. Our consultant will serve as our advocate and “coach” through the process of domestic adoption. We decided to create our profile on our own with some feedback from our consultant. (CAC helps families by creating their profiles if families wish.) CAC makes recommendations of different agencies to which we will apply. We are seeking to adopt one or two children (at least 1 being a little girl), aged 0-2 years old. Our homestudy was finalized in June 2010.

Hi Heather! I read your recent blog and it sounded like a Russian adoptive family prayer. I don’t know why except that with a process like Russia, you fall to your knees quickly with another process!
So you are adopting domestically this time? I’m curious of your process since I haven’t seen many domestic agencies who allow for gender requests.
Hope all goes well. I’ll be checking in and i hope your homestudy finishes quickly. The frustrations of other people’s mistakes! so sorry
