With a Little Help from Friends…

11 Aug

We appreciate our friends and family who’ve shared our adoption story and information on our matching grant challenge with others they know.  Just today, our adoption story was featured on a blog of a fellow Centre College alum and Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sister, Maura Bowen.  Check out the post at Maura’s blog:

Thanks to Jenny, another Centre alum and sorority sister for writing the post!

There are less than 13 days left to make a gift to our matching grant challenge from Hand in Hand.  Hand in Hand will match all gifts dollar for dollar made in our family’s name (must be written out to Hand in Hand) and we will receive all money given in our name that comes in by August 24….Alan and I are not allowed to give any amount of money to our own matching grant challenge so we are counting on our family, friends and anyone else who feels led to make tax-deductible gifts.  Any amount is welcome! Please help us meet our challenge goal on time!

Send check or money order to:

We are so grateful to all who have given and those who are considering giving.  We are also appreciative of  your prayers and encouragement as we wait to be matched with the little girl (who may or may not have been born yet) who will be our daughter.  If you are interested in adoption or have questions for us, please feel free to let us know.  There are children in the U.S. and around the world who need families, and we love knowing that some people who read our story may consider adoption.

Thanks for stopping by,

Heather & Alan
